Our Forest Centre accommodates up to 6 guests in three dedicated guest rooms with shared shower (hot and cold water) and toilet facilities plus large living room, equipped kitchen and outdoorareas.
An officearea affords a work and research space for guestswhile they are resident at the facility.
With a relatively small group size,activities can be individually tailored to support your wishes to give you the best possible experience
Costs include all food, drinks and internal transportation plus fees and support to our guides.
Standard packages are 1-2 weeks but ask about longer stays including longer-term scientist in residence arrangements.

Our goal is to help you love our forest as much as we do - and then tell others 'Obout' it and come back again - and also choose to support the work that we are doing!
Our dedicated centre sits among a mix of primary and secondary growth forest in the heart of Cameroon and the Congo Basin Forest. Our office area affords a research base during your stay for temporary caging of trapped insects for photography and study. Pop up cages, fruit traps, light traps are available on-site. UV torches (flashlights) are also available for scanning canopies for caterpillars and other insects.
Obout is located roughly a 90 minute drive south of Yaounde - as well as Obout you will be partof excursions to Ebogo and Mbalmayo including river canoe trips down the River Nyong. Day excursions to Djim & Mpem National Park can also be arranged.
